The acquisition process is structured in five distinct stages to ensure transparency and a seamless experience.

Search Retainer and Consultation:
A non-refundable initial retainer of $\$650$ is required to formally commence the search for your unique piece(s). This fee secures a dedicated consultation, including a private, scheduled video conference where you will be presented with meticulously vetted and sourced options. This retainer covers the extensive work involved in option curation and is considered fulfilled upon the presentation of choices, irrespective of a final purchase.

Commitment to Acquire: Following the presentation (via private video conference and high-resolution imagery) and your definitive selection(s), a formal Purchase Agreement will be issued. To secure the item(s), this contract must be digitally signed and executed within five (5) calendar days of issuance (Japan Standard Time). Please note that all vintage luxury item sales are final and non-refundable, reflecting the bespoke nature of the acquisition.

Procurement Commission: Our specialist fee for the expert sourcing and authentication of your vintage piece(s)—the Procurement Commission—ranges from 10% to 20% of the total purchase price. This percentage is determined by the rarity and complexity of acquiring each individual piece. The commission is payable concurrently with the item’s purchase price. The comprehensive invoice must be settled within 24 hours of its issuance.

Secure Transit: All necessary arrangements for packaging, secure shipping, and comprehensive insurance will be handled and managed by Trove of Luxuries. These logistical charges will be billed separately via a distinct invoice, which must also be settled within 24 hours of its issuance to initiate transit.

Duty and Import Responsibility: The purchaser retains sole responsibility for any and all customs duties, tariffs, or import taxes levied by the country of final delivery. These charges are independent of the purchase and shipping invoices.
